Haley found her forever home

Yesterday Laurel called again and said they had a call that someone was wanting a baby kitty, and he wanted it for his wife for a Valentine Present. So she gave me his number and i called him. We set up the time for him to come over today and see the Haley. Well she is now with her forever home and i hope that she will be happy and love to be there. They want a indoor cat which made me very happy as i really think that they are much happier and healthier cats.
He said that he would email me and keep me informed, they have no means for picture taking. I will miss her terribly because she was such a loving little girl and reminds me so much of Samont.

Morris found his forever home

Monday I got a email from Laurel from CRAFT and she had a contact information for some folks that was looking for a kitty to keep there other 1 yr old kitty company. So i called them and set up a time for them to come over and meet the babies.I think he found a good home.
Well Morris is now with his forever family in SunRiver , I sure do hope that he is getting along, and they are getting along with him and there kitty. I thought it would be easier to see him go but it wasn't. This is Morris sleeping next to Precious, she is so good with the babies. Makes a wonderful surrogate mother.

Ivey Her last day with us

Today was a sad day for us, because we lost Ivey to her forever home. She was adopted by a very nice family in Culver Or. I do hope that she is happy there. I am sure they will love and take good care of her.
It is always sad to have them leave your home, because they start to be a part of your family, and they are so loving.The longer they are with you the more attached you get.The new family said they would keep in touch and let me know how she is doing

This is Smiley, this is a nightly routine of what he does, Hey mom its ME time get off the puter.Princess trying to get my attention so that i put her clothes on, yup that collar is her clothes, she thinks if that is on she will be going outside.
Casey here, loves to drink out of the faucet, it used to be it was the bathroom sink, but for some reason here lately he wants the kitchen sink faucet on as well.I need to teach him to do the dishes. LOL

What's the problem here?

On the bed in the motor home

Here is 7 of our 11 babies on the bed in the motor home, Now can you see how i have no room to sleep?They do love to travel when we go, once we get on the road that is.
When we first got this motor home we never realized that there was going to be a problem with the slides for the kids. But once the slides are all in, we have two the bedroom and the living room. The bedroom one is the problem. Once you put the slide in there is an open crawl space for them to get in and hide.Not a good thing as we have to count heads , What we have now is those foam pads like you see over by the wall and the window. I have those squeezed in and then pillows tucked into the holes at the bottom just for extra precaution.
So if you ever get a rig with slides and you have critters, make sure you don't let the slides out and not know were the critters are at, could be a flattened critter.

Gospel Singing Rosie & Tony Baldridge

Nevada's Sister Rosie and her husband Tony decided to give up there home and jobs to become fulltime Gospel singers. So they met us in Quartzite Arizona were we spent 3 weeks this Jan.
Sorry but my camera doesn't take long videos so therefore not much of the song is on there.

Quartzite is a busy place in Jan & Feb. because they hold the annual Rv show there every yr.
If you ever want to see what a place looks like with a half a million rver's this is the place to go. Altho this yr it was not as full as in the past yrs. Not as many vendors either, but busy enough.

This is were you can dry camp and learn all you can about what and how long you can go without dumping your holding tanks and also being sparing on the water that you use. Military showers a must.

This particular group that they are singing for is called the Escapees Christian Fellowship a yahoo rver's group.
They were parked not far from us.

This fellow was from Canada and he joined them in music, he was very good on that guitar

This is Rosie and a couple of the members of the fellowship he was singing with her.Everyone was having a good time. Tony got the members to participate in the singing. This lady had the highest voice a glass should of broken.

Happy Birthday to my son Jan

Well i would like to say Happy Birthday to my son Jan, he is 40 yrs old today,He was born in Spokane Wash. at Fairchild Air Force Hospital, on Friday the 13th.1968.
5 lbs 9 oz. He is such a cutie , He was a month early so here he is in the incubator. His daddy was in the Army, in Korea, so he wasn't able to be there when he was born. Boy times have changed when i had him. Everything was so restricted, no one could be there accept my husband or a parent. which i had neither.
So my friend Linda was with me most of the time. My mother finally did come, but had a car accident on the way, No she wasn't hurt, only the car was damaged. Thank goodness.
I had moved to Spokane so that i could be near the hospital so I wouldn't have to pay. I think the total bill for having him was around $21 and that was for food i ate.
I was in the hospital a week before they let me go home.

This was Easter at my grandmothers, this is me on the left and my aunt Ulli, and my grandmother. I remember she would make a big deal about easter and hide the eggs. Can't see them in this photo. Those were days i wish i could go back too, my grandma and i were very close. Can't say the same for my aunt tho. Grandma or Oma is what I called her, used to spoil me, as she new i didn't like onions, so when she would fix meals, she would cut the onions real small so that i wouldn't know they were in there. i think my aunt didn't like that, as one day when my mom went to work my aunt babysat me, and as soon as mom left she got the biggest onion and peeled it and sat me in the corner and said NOW you eat this. To this day i don't like onions. But boy when my mom got home and found me sitting there with that onion my aunt got into a lot of trouble.Well i am not sure what this was all about accept sillyness, on the left is my mom, then my uncle Peter, my grandma's sister, grandma.
I think they were having fun from the looks of it.This is another good photo shot of my mom, my uncle Peter and Ulli, and Me.
Uncle Peter was my favorite . He was a baker. and a very good one at that.Not having a father he sort of took the place of one for me. Whenever he was around he always spent a lot of time with me.Here is a photo of my uncle Peter and me, this was taken in Stutgart on the hill were we used to live, made for great sledding.

Just going through some floppy disks that i have stored some photos on from when i was a child in Germany. The first one is of myself and my grandmother on the left and my aunt. Don't remember her name. The middle photo is of me and the last is me and a friend. I am not sure how old i was there, but must of been around 6 or 7.Here is a photo of my mom and a friend she worked with, she is on the right,Not sure what the party was, but they all dressed up in differant outfits, My mom's name is Liliane. Those were taken in Germany.This is me and my mom our last x-mas in Germany before we came to the US in 1959

Have a great Memorial Weekend

Well i hope that everyone has a great Weekend, and the weather is nice for you all, altho i am glad that i am not out there driving.

I do however miss the rush and the gatherings of the kids, and the camp fires. The smell of wood burning, and the smell of marshmellows roasting over the fire.
Remembering last summer when we took our grandkids camping, my grandaughter Christiana wanted to roast marshmellows, she would put them on the stick and hold them over the fire for a second and said there done grandma, I looked at her and the marshmellow and said honey they have to be black to be good. She did not agree with me, said she likes them just like that, one brief wisk over the fire. Kids are so funny.
